Heidi’s Hands Gift Fund
In honor of community midwife Heidi Yanello (1973-2022), this gift fund has been established to allow individuals to donate to cover the costs of postpartum midwifery care and grief support provided to mothers and families who have experienced pregnancy loss, stillbirth, and infant loss. This care is offered to local families without a price tag attached, and is funded both by gifts of time and gifts of money. If you feel drawn to give, you are invited to contribute at the link below. A transparent financial record of donations and expense will be made available on a yearly basis for those who wish to access it.
Please note: At this time donations are not tax deductible.
If you are local to York, Dauphin, or Lancaster counties and are in need of care and support after loss in pregnancy, birth, or postpartum, please contact us here to book a confidential consultation, receive information about what we offer, and be connected with support services at no charge to you. Care is available on a first come first serve basis and is provided freely to all regardless of race, sexual orientation, physical ability, religion, and citizenship status.
If you are a provider who would like to be considered for the Heidi’s Hands practitioner reference pool, please reach out here for an application and interview with The MotherRoot Collective.
